Frequently Asked Questions
The first step is linking your Resy account on the Account page. This will allow us to book reservations on your behalf. Then head on over to the Reservations page to select what restaurants, dates, and times you would like reservations for. Then, just wait! We recommend turning on notifications on your Resy account until we have built out our own notification platform.
No. If nothing ever becomes available on Resy, then you will not get the reservation. This is why it helps to put out a couple of requests with a range of dates and times, as the more things you look for, the more likely you are to successfuly get a reservation.
Read on below for more tips on how to maximize your chances of getting a reservation.
We recommend choosing restaurants that have not yet opened up their reservations for the date you desire. We have some updates to the site coming soon in order to make this easier. For some restaurants, like 4 Charles and Don Angie, success rates will still be low, but for most this should work fine. If you want to up your chances even further, linking an Amex Platinum to your account will greatly increase your odds of booking hard-to-get spots. Click here to sign up with a bonus offer.
Note, some restaurants require that you have a credit card linked to your Resy account in order to secure a reservation. Don't worry, we promise we won't look (we can't).
We thought you might ask that. In order to limit the chances of this happening, we stop trying to book your reservation at midnight the day before (for a Tuesday 6pm request, we stop looking at 11:59pm on Monday). If we book a reservation for you and you can't make it, you can cancel it on your Resy account. Even though many places say they charge cancelation fees, they are usually pretty understanding if you give them a call.
